Three phones running LOOP: a location request, the answer on the map, and the privacy log

Four promises

  • No sign-up

Just a private LOOP ID. No phone number, no email, no password.

  • Nothing in the background

LOOP wakes only when someone asks, takes one reading and stops.

  • End-to-end encrypted

Your location is sealed for the person who asked. Even our server can't read it.

  • You see every look

Every share leaves a receipt, and your privacy log shows each one.

Why LOOP exists

Every family and friend group has the same conversation: "Where are you?" … and then the wait. The apps that answer it usually do it by tracking you all day, on servers that keep your history. LOOP takes the opposite approach. It's a location tracker you're in charge of: nothing runs in the background, the people you choose can ask, and your phone answers only if you say yes, with your location sealed so that only they can read it. I built it for Indian families and friends first: it's small enough for budget phones, works in Hindi and English, and draws India's borders as per India's official map.

— Arpan Patra, Indore

A chat asking 'Where are you?' waits unanswered; below, LOOP shows Maa's location shared just now, ±5 m, 64% battery

How it works

  1. Share your link

One tap on WhatsApp connects you.

  2. They ask

You get a small card: Share once, Always, or Not now.

  3. You both see it

Location, how accurate it is, and battery.

Private by design

Your location leaves your phone sealed for the one person who asked. LOOP's server passes it on without being able to read it, and keeps no copy. There's no account to hack, no location history to leak, and nothing to sell.

Privacy policy
Maa's phone seals her location; the LOOP server passes it on but can't read it; only Arpan's phone can open it
